Terms and Conditions of Temporary Holiday Accommodation
Payment and Cancellation Policy
A deposit of 50% of the total rental amount is required at the time of your booking to confirm your reservation. Payment can be made by credit card, we accept Visa and Mastercard. There are no additional surcharges for credit card payment. In some circumstances payment can be made by other methods.Payment of the deposit constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
The balance of the rental amount must be received in full 30 days prior to occupancy. This will be charged to the same credit card that was used to pay the deposit (unless we are informed otherwise).
Your credit card will be used as security against any damages etc.
A $250 - $500 bond is due 7 days prior to arrival. This bond can be held against your credit card as security. The bond will be refunded in full within 14 days of expiry of the tenancy provided that it does not require to be activated. The bond is designed to cover any additional costs incurred including but not limited to, any breakage, damage or excess cleaning requirements or extra guests beyond those declared.
If you cancel the booking any money which has been paid either as a deposit or a balance is not refundable unless the house is re-let for the entire period. If the house is re-let then a $50 cancellation fee will still apply.
We strongly recommend that you have travel insurance to cover you in the event of an unforeseeable cancellation.
The owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances. If such a situation arises we reserve the right to offer to relocate you to an alternative property of similar standard and location at any time. If this occurs then you can confirm your stay at the alternative property or request a full refund.
House Rules
To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.The number of guests staying at the property must not exceed the number agreed to in the booking details or subsequently agreed to in writing or by email. In the event that any additional persons stay at the property, an additional fee may be charged according to our usual rates and/or we reserve the right to terminate the booking without refund.
The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in loss of your bond and/or additional payments.
Departure - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. Garbage should be removed from the house and placed in the bins or otherwise disposed of.
Standard cleaning services on your departure are included in your rates. We provide weekly cleaning services for tenancies longer than 1 week in our Apartment accommodation. You are expected to leave the properties in a neat and tidy state without the need for extensive, excessive cleaning. You are responsible for all cleaning charges in the event that the property is left in a state that requires more than standard cleaning. This will be deducted from your bond.
For all properties, the noise level must be inaudible from neighbouring properties between 10pm and 8am Sun-Thu, and between 10.30pm and 9am Fri-Sat.
Parties/gatherings are not permitted on the premises.
All guests are expected to behave in a manner that does not cause distress to neighbours or interfere in any way with their right to enjoy their properties. We reserve the right to remove guests who do not adhere to this code of behaviour. In these cases, no refund will be due, and we will not be responsible for finding or funding alternate accommodation, nor will we be responsible for any other associated costs.
All our properties are non-smoking indoors. There may be additional cleaning fees to remove any smoke fumes from the property.
Guests may not engage in any illegal activity at the property.
Check-In and Check-Out
Check-out time is 11am by the latest, unless a late check out time has been agreed to by both parties, to allow time to prepare property for next guests. Check-in time is after 3pm.Whilst we are more than happy to provide early Check In and late Check Out wherever possible, this can only be confirmed at the last minute as it is dependent on other bookings at the time. Failure to adhere to those procedures could result in the incurring of additional costs (including loss of your bond).
Damages, Breakages, Theft and Loss
Damage, Breakages, Theft and Loss to or from the property or its contents are your responsibility and liability during your stay and must be reported immediately to us. Without prejudice to any other remedies available, the total cost of making good any such damage breakage theft or loss will be deducted from your bond. If necessary you will be liable for any excess which may be charged against any debit or credit card which has been used for payment.
Loss - the owners take no responsibility for your or your guests or invitees personal property during your stay. If however any personal items are found by our cleaning staff we will make every effort to contact you in order to arrange their return.
Complaints
You should not wait until you return home before complaining about any matter as no inspection can be carried out when others are occupying the property. We welcome hearing from you in relation to any complaints or concerns and prefer that you phoned us immediately so that matters can be resolved quickly.
Smoking/Pets
Smoking is not permitted inside our properties. Pets are welcome in some of our properties, please enquire as to pet friendly properties at the time of booking.Variations

What personally identifiable information is collected by Great Accommodation?
The types of personal information that we collect from you will depend on the circumstances of collection and on the type of service you request from us. These purposes include, requesting further information about our accommodation, making a booking or simply asking a question about Great Accommodation. When you make a booking request with us, we may collect details such as your name, address, credit/debit card number and expiry date, billing address and telephone numbers. As we are required by law to obtain your consent to the collection of "sensitive information" we will assume that you have consented to the collection of all information that is provided to us for use in accordance with this Statement, unless you tell us otherwise. There may be occasions when we collect information about you from a third party, for example from people booking accommodation on your behalf.
How is your Personal Information used?
When you supply information about yourself for a specific purpose, we use the information for only that purpose (i.e. to provide the service or information you have requested). If making a booking with us, additional information will be required for operational reasons.
We are also anti-spam, and do not share, sell or rent information to any third parties. If you receive information from Great Accommodation, it is because you have asked to hear from us, have joined our mailing list, or a friend / colleague has requested it on your behalf and you have confirmed this to us.
Security
Personally identifiable information is stored on servers that are not publicly accessible. Further, personally identifiable information is only accessed by Great Accommodation employees on a "need to know" basis. Credit Card details are NOT stored on our database when you book.
Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties
We may disclose your personal information to third parties (for example, when booking a round of golf or a massage on your behalf), for the purpose for which the information was collected or for related purposes, for example to provide you with a service that you requested.
Other than the above, we will not disclose your personal information without your consent unless disclosure is either necessary to prevent a threat to life or health, authorised or required by law, reasonably necessary to enforce the law or necessary to investigate a suspected unlawful activity.
